Greg Jefferson explained how Commissioner Kevin Wolff is extending his influence in the GOP and laying the groundwork for higher office by recruiting Hispanic candidates this election season.

Jefferson also examined CPS Energy CEO Doyle Beneby's track record and the advantages and pitfalls of running the utility as a big business.

Gilbert Garcia highlighted Congressman Quico Canseco's Florida outing with lobbyists, and reported on how Justice of the Peace Monica Caballero came to be kicked off the ballot for the Democratic primary. Garcia also offered up his take on Mayor Julián Castro's State of the City speech.

Top Chisme included Councilman Carlton Soules' sharp questioning of San Pedro Creek plans, new developments in the Walmart-Hardeberger Park hubbub, and the (probably temporary) end of the feud between Commissioner Chico Rodriguez and former Commissioner Bobby Tejeda.
