A former Harlandale employee is accused in a recently executed search warrant of posing online as a school district trustee. Impersonating someone online is called "spoofing," and it's a crime. That’s what cops say Melissa Flores Rodriguez was doing.
“I’m just surprised that a member of our community has gone to the extreme of spoofing,” Harlandale Trustee Jesse “Jay” Alaniz said. Alaniz called for a criminal investigation after a series of emails were sent to reporters – including me – from an email account using his name and the address “votealaniz@yahoo.com.”
