SAISD muddies its boots at Burbank farm


There’s an old term for the new spate of problems that are plaguing SAISD: credibility gap.

Two generations ago, it was a phrase applied to the wide distance between President Lyndon Johnson’s optimistic rhetoric about the Vietnam War and the hopeless quagmire Americans were seeing on the national news every night. In recent months, it could have just as easily been used to describe SAISD’s clumsy dance over a proposed, bond-funded renovation of Alamo Stadium that would have accommodated professional soccer, but forced out a track used by students.

The question of credibility surfaced again last Friday on the campus of Burbank High School, after a basketball game between Burbank and Lanier.
